Atlanta
resident DJ Scott Anthony looks at every gig as an opportunity to
impact lives with music. In his six years as a DJ, Scott has captured
the heart of Atlanta. His uniquely crafted sound blends house, trance
and pop, creating an emotional energy tantalizing the senses and
activating the dance floor. Having played some of Atlanta’s hottest
venues to include W Hotel – Midtown, Halo, Fever, Verve, EarthLink Live,
Woodruff Arts Center, The Mark Ultra Lounge, Metro and The Glenn Hotel,
Scott has been featured with such talent as DJ’s Abel, Roland Belmares
and Power Infinity.
Having grown up in a small town in Alabama
whose entire population could fit in some clubs, Scott moved to Atlanta
in 1993. He was introduced to the many sights and sounds of the
“circuit” scene. Unfulfillfilled as only an observer, Scott decided he
would become a DJ, and purchased his first mixer and turntables in May
2004. DJ/Producer Brett Long mentored Scott, teaching him the
fundamentals of beat-matching using traditional vinyl and CDs.
From
view from the balcony of Scott’s condo, one doesn’t have to look far to
see the tremendous change that has occurred in Atlanta. One hundred
yards away you can see where legendary Backstreet once stood, replaced
now by a 30-story luxury high-rise. One-half mile North, another
building reaches for the sky where the Metro used to be.
With so
much changing in the world, Scott is looking forward to helping shape
the next generation of nightlife in the world. The only constant in life
is ‘change’ but nothing can alter the transcendental feeling that comes
from a night of incredible music. DJ Scott Anthony’s passion remains
the same, and he will not stop until the very last record spins.
