Samantha James – “Waves of Change” (Kaskade Remix)...

In 2007 singer Samantha James burst on to the dance music scene with her hit album “Rise”. The title track actually made it to number one on the Billboard Dance Charts. Well a full three years later she has returned with a new album “Subconscious” released this week on iTunes (more info about the new album here). The first single off the album is the track “Waves of Change” which is a melodic mid tempo track that showcases Jame’s airy soothing vocals. the Kaskade remix is a perfect fit for this song because it play well to his strengths as a producer. Kaskade feat. Dragonette “Fire In Your New Shoes”...

In honor of today’s release of “Dynasty” the eagerly awaited new album by Kaskade, I thought I would pump you all up with the second single. “Fire In Your New Shoes” is a collaboration with Canadian electropop/New Wave/Synthpop group Dragonette. It’s a bit of an edgier sound from Kaskade and needless to say, we like it! Take a listen and as always we encourage “likes” and comments! Fire In Your New Shoes (feat. Dragonette) – Dynasty (Bonus Track...

Kaskade “Dynasty”...

The wait will soon be over! Today Kaskade has released the first single, the title track, it’s a gritty production, smoothed out by the vocals of Haley, known to KASKADE fans the world over as the ethereal singer of “I Remember” and “Move For Me.” Available digitally April 27 with a physical release May 11 via Ultra Records, “Dynasty” is the follow-up release to the massively successful “Strobelite Seduction”. To support the album, KASKADE is planning an extensive worldwide tour to last through the end of 2010. As of this blog post there is no date in St. Louis but (hopefully) that may change over the next few months. Check out the new single and I would love to hear what you think? Do you know Adam K & Soha?...

Adam K and Soha are one of the premiere remix artist teams out there. The list of hits they have disassembled and recreated is long. Some of my favorites include the oh so classic remixes of Kaskade’s “4AM”, and Benny Benassi’s “Come Fly Away”…

Kaskade

Well a few weeks ago I wrote about some of the more vital songs of 2009. Well there was the glaring omission of the artist/DJ Kaskade (aka Ryan Raddon) whose 2008 album “Strobelight Seduction” was still pumping out a few hits well into 2009 so on a technicality I thought it was fair to leave him of the list. Some of you might think I don’t know what I am talking about because I could have mentioned his fantastic remix album “The Grand” which was released in ’09. That would be a fair criticism, but in my honest opinion while a good remix album for sure, the only really standout track was “Angel On My Shoulder (EDX`s Belo Horizonte At Night Remix)” and since that and most of the other tracks were reworkings of “Strobelight” cuts, I left it out of consideration as one of the best of 2009. In terms of popularity there is no doubt that 2009 was a banner year for Kaskade whose increased visibility put him at the top of the list in many minds as one of the best out there in the EDM scene. Kaskade also toured a LOT (although he is overdue a stop here) and was all over the web promoting himself and his gigs. He is currently in the studio now working on his next album and I for one know I will be buying it day of release. In the meantime here is his latest track a remix of the song “So Far Away” (featuring Haley). Enjoy! “So Far Away” feat Haley – EP available on iTunes also available on Amazon.com So Far Away (Kaskade...
