Song of the Day: Bassmonkeys & Bianca Lindgren – "Get Busy"

As one who has enjoyed the productions of the Bassmonkeys on numerous Fierce Angel compilations, it’s awesome to see them break out in such a big way. “Get Busy” just screams hit – for both the cool underground clubs and the commercial world. Perfectly timed for Winter Music Conference, watch for this crowd pumping, bass-driven electro track to rock dance floors around the world. The “Push Me, Stop It” hook will surely stick in your head after the first listen. The video is borderline Not Safe For Work with borderline nude women in a voyeuristic/bondage fantasy (imagine a part two of Rudenko’s “Everybody”.) The male vocals also sound like they contain an F-bomb, but its muffled so as not to be completely clear. Just as “Call on Me” ended up launching an aerobics work out DVD, I could imagine “Get Busy” inspiring a “Strip For Your Man” instructional video.
