Song of the Day: Jes – "Lovesong"

Dance artists do cover songs quite often and normally the results can be chalked up to jazzed up karaoke. This is not the case with Jes, the voice of Motorcycle’s “As the Rush Comes” and countless other trance/rock/progressive hybrids. Her breathy yet raspy voice adds a new expressive tone to the Cure classic “Lovesong.” There is a sense of urgency so when Jes sings “I Will Always Love You,” you know she means it. The punchy dance rock influenced production is perfect for dance radio while the Cosmic Gate will heat up any dancefloor during the cold winter.
