I know you’re probably thinking I have finally gone off my rocker… Justin Bieber? Yes, Justin Bieber is in the Song of the Day because of one talented young lady, CJ Milli. With this track Milli has managed to blend Beiber’s over produced vocals on “Baby” with MSTRKRFT’s gritty low tech sound on “Heartbreaker” . The result is an all too pleasing mix that I have to admit I have listened to repeatedly over the last couple of weeks. One look at CJ Milli’s Myspace and it becomes apparent that she is definitely a talent to watch and it’s kind of surprising that she has no label released tracks. Hopefully that will change very soon.

Today’s Song of the Day is taking a look back at one of my favorite remixes by MSTRKRFT. The track is D.A.N.C.E by Justice from their 2007 album †. The video for the single is also a classic as it was nominated for a 2007 MTV Video Music Award for “Video of the Year”. While the original track is indeed a great cut this remix is by far my favorite. 2010 might be huge year for Justice whose new album will probably surface sometime post WMC. Be on the lookout! I know I will!
